This beautiful girl is doing some pretty incredible things, I tell you. She’s currently Miss Utah County, and after she wins Miss Utah, she’ll be crowned Miss America. AND THEN SHE WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!

Just you wait. I said it first. (Maybe her Mom and Dad said it first, but they don’t count. I’m a professional, you know.)

The day we shot these, it was FREEZING! And WINDY! And Lauren didn’t complain one single second. Even when I made her change behind a tree. Even when she had to walk through mud in heels. And even when her face went numb from the cold. She laughed through the whole session and made it so fun. Shooting in crummy conditions can be so stressful, but she had the best attitude. EVAR.

Fo. Real. Gooooood egg, this one.

Hello you.

I’ve missed you.

A little.

Coming back to work after a much needed break has been a little tricky. I’ve so enjoyed my time with my little family. The best thing about the break is that I’ve managed to create balance in my life! Something that has eluded me for a long dang time.

I love my job. I really do. But now that I’m back, I’m excited to say that my job is not going to be #1. I’ll be taking a limited number of sessions each month, including weddings, keeping pretty strict office hours, blogging only a few times a week, mentoring on a smaller scale, etc. Rude! I know. But a happy photographer is a better photographer…is what I always say.

So I’ll be blogging a bit this week some of my favorite sessions from the last few months. Hopefully I still have some followers, lurkers, stalkers, blog-friends! Gimme a shout out, I’d love to hear from you internet people!

Hello little neglected blog of mine. I’m quite sure only my mom is reading this. Wait…she doesn’t know how to turn on a computer. So….I guess it’s just me, talking to me. Cute.

All weddings and sessions booked in 2011 are still on my 2012 calendar and do not apply to the following info:

I am accepting engagement, bridal, and wedding bookings for anytime after February 15th.

Regular Sessions (family and children) are available after March 15th.

The Stover Family {awwww}

This sweet family is from Oklahoma. The gorgeous mama, Brittany , is a photographer too, and Angie and I were lucky enough to spend an hour with her and her family for a video session. It was pouring rain the entire time, and I didn’t hear them complain ONCE! Seriously? I would have been a wreck. But not these fine folks. They were rock stars.

Mama made Cailey wear this vintage coat. It was her grandmas. Uhm, hello! Gorgeous. I was in heaven whilest shooting this awesomeness. Cailey ~~hates~~ er, uhm, has mixed feelings about it. I told her she was crazy. We got plenty of shots WITHOUT the coat, but I had to blog my favorites first. Cailey, dont beat me up. Just look how beautiful you (and your handsome man) are!!!! Chubba Love {little buddy}

I want to eat this baby. Every last yummy inch of him. Seriously. He’s so squishy. My little boy never got this chubby. What’s up with that!?

This is only a tiny peek at his cuteness. He has 3 siblings that will make their blog debut later this week. One thing I know for sure, this baby is LOVED. So so so loved. I loved watching the whole family interact with him. And even though he remained quite serious for most of the shots, let me assure you, he is one happy little man. We ALL tried to get him to smile and I imagine the 6 of us looked hilarious jumping up and down and making googley sounds. He just stared at us. So funny. Also, he doesn’t have a name yet! Ha! He was born one name, then they changed it, and now they’re changing it again. I think it’s awesome and funny. A name is important! For now, he’s little buddy. And it’s perfect for him don’t you think!?

Includes Large private office, natural light shooting area, studio shooting area, outdoor shooting area, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/breakroom, prop storage, paper backdrops, some lighting, some props. 2200 square feet of awesome. Come see it! You know you wanna.

Daily and Hourly Rates: (Includes shooting areas, bathrooms, kitchen, backdrops, some lighting, some props.)
$125/day (up to 8 hours)

$75/half day (up to 4 hours)

Makenna {little lovey}

Makenna’s daddy is in the airforce. And he’s been gone a long time. But he’s coming home soooooon! While he’s been away, this little thing has gone and grown up!!

And she’s my niece. And her mama is my sister. And I could stare at this face all day long. And I shot these bright and early Monday morning…when the weather was nice. So there.

Also, can I PLEASE get a shout out from any photographers reading this who are also fried from a busy fall season? Has your brain exploded? Are you as behind as I am? Fess up! I want to know your deepest darkest….so I can feel better about my insanity. Ready, go.
